Trace Viewer v1.0

Background information

Trace Viewer was created by Xstract to provide fast, simple and lightweight visualisation of numerical downhole data. As well as standard visualisation functions, Trace Viewer allows users to interactively pick intervals of interest from downhole variables (e.g. geophysics, geochemistry) based on cut-off values. Users can dynamically change cut-off values and other parameters with the results being displayed live on screen. These intervals can be exported as text encompassing From, To and Length fields ready to be copied into other applications. Trace Viewer works with LAS version 2.0 data as well as ASCII comma delimited (e.g. CSV) files, and runs on Microsoft Windows. Xstract is pleased to release the core features of this technology to the wider community, free of charge but limited in time.

Requirements

Trace Viewer requires Windows 7 32 & 64bit operating systems and requires the Microsoft .net4 environment,The installer includes a check for .net4, and will prompt you to download and install .net 4 if required.

Registration is required in order to download a free version of the software. The free version of Trace Viewer is time limited to 6 months.  If you wish to continue to use the software after that period, please check back at the website to download the latest free version of the software.
